The Projectionist

We worked with IMAX Indy to tell the story of their in-house projectionist, Wayne Indyke. Wayne is one of very few projectionists in the United States that has the experience and knowledge to work with an IMAX film projection system.
This short film gives you a glimpse into the booth.

“Our theater prides itself on having the highest presentation quality possible. It can be tough to find marketing partners who can meet or exceed that standard. Ripple Media does so time and again, combining creative ideas, stellar execution, and timely delivery. They have helped us take our marketing presence to the next level and we can't wait to see what we can cook up next with them.”

— Neale Johantgen
Theater Manager | IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum

Be The One Campaign

This project required capturing the Hotel Tango bourbon bottle and the American Legion Indy Car. Our goal was pay tribute to the Be the One campaign and attempt to capture the bottle and the car in a unique way using a light painting technique. The image above is a single frame captured in-camera. The racing flag was created using the Pixel Stick and we lit the rest of the scene with a handheld Litra LED. It took a number of attempts to get it right and we were extremely happy with the final results.

Rockhopper Workshops

In 2018 Michael Durr traveled to The Palouse, an incredibly beautiful area in the Northwest United States. Michael was hired by Kevin Raber, owner of Rockhopper Workshops, to capture video documentation of the journey, as well as to help educate workshop attendees on both photography and video techniques.

In February of 2020, he again traveled with Kevin and World renowned wildlife photographer, Art Wolfe, to Antarctica.

These adventures have created impactful ripples in Michael’s life that he continues to integrate into his work. To learn more about Rock Hopper Workshops visit rockhopperworkshops.com

Indianapolis Musician Showcase
Presented by Klipsch

This musician showcase was created to highlight local musicians in Indianapolis, IN. Broad Ripple Magazine, a local publication, featured a story on Klipsch Premium Audio. The story focused on the company’s Indianapolis roots and dove into its rich history in the premium audio industry. In conjunction with the release of this story, Klipsch sponsored the video production and corresponding advertising for a unique campaign designed to feature a variety of local musicians.

These ten artists were brought into The Box Media and Production Space, a local studio in Indianapolis, where the performers recorded two original songs each. The local production crew, directed by Michael Durr, recorded all 20 songs over a two day period. Once recorded, the songs were edited into individual videos and packaged with Klipsch branding.

Over the course of the month of July, in conjunction with the release of the story in Broad Ripple Magazine, the videos were uploaded to YouTube and given premiere dates for the first 20 days of July. The intention was that viewers could either scan the QR code in the magazine or visit the BroadRippleMag YouTube Channel and watch an original performance every day.

All of the participating artists varied in their musical styles and delivered unique performances. Throughout the month of July videos and photos were shared on Instagram by both BroadRippleMag, Klipsch and the participating artists. It proved to be an extremely successful campaign that continues to be shared to this day.

– Jill Escol

VP of Global Brand Communications,
Premium Audio Company

“Ultimately Klipsch is about creating the power, detail and emotion of the live music experience so to be able to bring these live and intimate performances to people that they could digest over time was really important to us.”

North Mass Boulder

Paul Nurkkala, aka, NurkFPV, captured this FPV shot in literally one take! We did some hefty pre production coordinating this video and our client was ecstatic with the final results.

Since we ended up only needing one take we were able to process a rough version of the video on site and screen it to the employees and members that helped us create it. It was an incredibly fun project to execute and it really became a memorable experience for everyone involved. To learn more about North Mass Boulder visit northmassboulder.com
